Hunt/Peck blends film and live performance in a powerful, multidisciplinary work exploring the phenomenon of sex tourism. The seven-minute short film follows Ingrid and Bianca, who fly south for a wild escapade, where they meet Sergio and Andre, who are on the prowl for rich flesh. Set at a nightclub in The Gambia, the film takes an allegorical look at the global phenomenon of European sex tourism in Africa, investigating questions of consumption and exploitation without positioning anyone as a villain.
The film is paired with live choreography performed by four dynamic artists. Following each performance, audiences are invited to remain for a community conversation with creator Donna-Michelle St. Bernard.
